Our Process

Frame Construction

The foundation of quality furnishings starts with the frame structure. Each sturdy frame is bench fabricated by skilled craftsman and begins with 100% kiln dried hardwood combined with plywood that is glued, corner-blocked, and stapled for maximum durability. Each frame assembly is thoroughly inspected before proceeding through the upholstery process to assure a lifetime of service.

After careful inspection and installation of the frame springing system, each piece is covered as appropriate with top quality Cal 117 flame retardant foam, furniture grade, heavy duty webbing and fiber board panels.

Our seating cushions are constructed from the finest high resiliency foam and many models include an individually pocketed coil innerspring system. The majority typically include a feather, down, and polyester fiber blend covering.

Our back pillows feature 100% feather, down and polyester fiber blend fillings for the most comfortable & plush sit. Every back pillow is made from 100% cotton ticking which is chambered to help maintain the lines of the original design.

Details show brilliantly with perfect stitching. All of our upholstery is sewn with state of the art machines, including a variety of custom made specialty machines. Like any fine tailor, our sewers take pride in assuring a perfect fit in every detail. All of our machines are meticulously maintained to ensure the most accurate and consistent stitch possible on each piece of upholstery.

Furniture like fashion, is based upon style and how it relates to an individual’s lifestyle. Our skilled upholsterers are masters at applying the precisely stitched covers to the finished frame, taking extra time to adjust and beautifully fine tune and fit every detail to perfection. Each piece is individually hand upholstered with pride by the same technician start to finish, assuring a stunning result.

Maestro Artisano is the ultimate hand antiqued leather finishing process. Our upholstery is carefully completed from premium hides selected specifically for this process which are then painstakingly colored and distressed by skilled artisans to create a dramatic vintage look. This process takes several hours to complete for each individual piece of upholstery. As a result every Maestro Artisano grouping is unique with a finish designed to enhance the natural beauty and grain characteristics of the leather and produce a buttery soft hand to the hides.

What goes out the door of our factory must represent the meticulous care and workmanship expected of any furniture piece bearing our name. Once complete, each piece of upholstery is thoroughly checked, carefully cleaned, detailed, and inspected to assure complete customer satisfaction.

Our attention to detail extends to our packaging. Each piece of carefully crafted furniture is first wrapped in foam and a thick custom size plastic bag. It is then placed inside a custom made 350lb double wall box and shipped on a precisely sized wooden pallet. Our products can then be safely shipped across the 48 continental states or over seas if required with minimal risk of damage.
